WHAT DOES AN ARCHITECT DO?

Architects design houses, offices, apartments, commercial, educational, recreational and other such buildings. An architect also caters that the buildings should not only be safe & sound and provide a pleasing aesthetics but also be comfortable to the users. An architect draws up the final plans showing how a building shall look after its completion and how it shall be built. He also looks into the services to be installed in a building along with its security checks, etc. He is also capable to draw all these plans with the help of computer software. An architect spends most of the time in office; however, he is supposed to visit the construction site of the building he designed to see if it is being constructed as per his instructions.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES & SCOPE OF FURTHER STUDIES

TThere are massive job opportunities in the country as well as abroad. The opportunities are growing rapidly for the competent architects.

After qualifying this program, a graduate may;

  • 1. Hunt a job of Assistant Architect.
  • 2. Start his/her private Architect office.
  • 3. Join an architectural firm.
  • 4. Join a service abroad.
  • 5. Go further for university level education.
